Ujčov: Hotels and accommodations

West of Ujčov lie the Ujčovské vodopády, a system of cascades. The two main tiers are 9 metres high in total. The Babylon viewpoint near Kovářová is located at an altitude of 626 metres above sea level; from there, visitors can enjoy views of the surrounding area.

South of Ujčov, on the banks of the Svratka, there is a population of the protected ostrich fern. In the Ujčov area, the Svratka forms deep, wooded valleys through which it winds. In the centre of the village, three large-leaved lime trees stand near the memorial to the fallen.

The Kaple sv. Františka z Assisi chapel in Ujčov was restored and consecrated in 1993 by the Bishop of Brno, V. Cikrle. The chapel has a multi-storey rectangular tower with a curved roof and a covered, functioning wooden belfry. It is probably a vernacular building on the site of an older bell tower.

In the village district of Dolní Čepí stands the Kostel sv. Václava church, a state-protected cultural monument. Between Horní Čepí and Dolní Čepí, a monument was erected in 1975 in memory of partisan units from the Second World War.

Marked cycle route 4025 from Polička to Nedvědice runs through Ujčov. In addition, a simple 7.6-kilometre walk from Štěpánov nad Svratkou to Nedvědice passes through Ujčov. Most of the walk to the church in Nedvědice follows the red trail marking; the final section to the railway station follows the yellow marking.

In the Kasany district of Ujčov, there is a cider mill where fruit from the adjacent orchards is processed. Ujčovský mošt can be purchased directly from the farm, at farmers’ markets and in selected shops.
