Osové: Hotels and Accommodations

Nature and Landscape

Osové is located in an area of scenic value used for recreation. Almost half of the cadastral area consists of extensive forest complexes, especially in the south and west.

The Oslava runs along the eastern boundary of the cadastral area. The particularly valuable Nesměřské Valley, both scenically and in terms of its natural environment, lies along its course. North of the built-up part of Osové is the Osovák pond on an unnamed tributary of the Oslavička.

Designated natural features include Libenice VM002. The site comprises remnants of a mixed forest with species-rich ground vegetation and is recorded for specially protected species and regionally significant biotopes. The municipality of Osové is also home to the memorial tree “Oak in Nesměř”.

History

The first written mention of Osové dates back to 1354.
