Radenice: Hotels and Accommodation
Radenice combines a historically shaped village center with the distinctive Holý vrch and a number of small monuments, connecting paths, and local events. As a result, the village reveals itself very specifically both through its history and its surrounding landscape.
Culture and History
Radenice was formerly divided into two parts. The larger historic part of the village was first mentioned in writing in 1481, and the smaller historic part was first mentioned in 1483. The village is home to vernacular houses from the 19th century as well as a monument to those who fell in the First and Second World Wars.
The chapel of Saint Anthony, built in 1901 and renovated in 1994, stands in the village square. In front of the inn is a marble cross dating from 1898. There is also a syenite cross on the road to Jívoví, at a bend in the road. The old Tiský dvůr estate is located near the Radenice Forest.
Nature
Holý vrch rises above Radenice to a height of 662.2 meters above sea level. The mountain is a mineralogical site featuring quartz, smoky quartz, feldspar, and tourmaline.
The field paths toward Bory and Cyrilov offer views of the Novoměstsko and Velkomeziříčsko regions. Hiking is mentioned as a leisure activity in the surroundings of Radenice; the area also contains a preserved cultural landscape.
Events
The Antonínská pouť pilgrimage festival takes place regularly in June. The event includes a church service as well as entertainment.
The route of the Běh kolem Holého vrchu race runs through Radenice and over Holý vrch. The race is a half marathon covering 21.1 kilometers.
