Sněžné: Hotels and Accommodation

The Sněžné Gallery is located in the historic house on Sněžné’s square and is a sales gallery for paintings that is open year-round. It was founded in 1997 by painters Jan Odvárka, Rudolf Němec and Pavel Mertlík. The gallery also hosts solo exhibitions, author readings and other art events.

The Church of the Holy Cross was built in Sněžné in the mid-18th century. A walk around Sněžné passes the church, which was remodelled in the Baroque style. The evangelical church in Sněžné was last redesigned inside in 1994, based on a design by Ostrava artist Daniel Balabán, and is a distinctive landmark of the town and its surroundings.

At the site of the former cemetery, visitors can see iron grave crosses made in the smithies of Kadov and Milovy.

Sněžné is located in the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. A special attraction in the town is the Japanese rock garden, which has been created for years by teacher Pavel Šimon in the spirit of Buddhist and Shinto traditions. It consists of a dry area and a wet area; two Japanese dragons guard it.

Visitors to the Japanese rock garden can view a bonsai exhibition and buy bonsais, bonsai pots and ceramics on site.

The nine-kilometre walking route around Sněžné partly follows the local educational trail “S Kvíčalou za humna”.

The Sněženská Trasa is 42 kilometres long and starts in the square in Sněžné. It leads to the rock formations of Devět skal, Malinská skála, Dráteničky and Čtyři palice.

The Sněžné pump track is located behind the evangelical church and is one of the largest pump tracks in the region. It can be used with bicycles, skateboards and scooters.
