Rožná: Hotels and Accommodations

Based on an expert assessment from 1993, the Church of St. Havel is dated to the second half of the 13th century. An iron footbridge over the road to Dolní Rožínka connects the church with the rectory. Inside, there is a marble baptismal font dating from 1684.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes was consecrated on June 16, 1895. Hradisko is also part of the local cultural and intellectual history: the site is known for finds of rare minerals. In 1785, engineer Karel Ručínský discovered lepidolite and rubellite, a pink tourmaline, at Hradisko.

Every other year, Rožná hosts the Havelské hody festival, celebrated with a maypole.

On Hradisko, about 500 meters northeast of Rožná, there is a small quarry. From there, there is a beautiful view of the former uranium deposit near Dolní Rožínka, particularly the spoil heaps.

Hradisko can be reached from the Nedvědička Valley via the Sušírna Valley and then over the spoil heaps to the summit. A forest path from the road to Zlatkov provides another access route; it begins about 200 meters below the gas station.

The Koupaliště Rožná outdoor swimming pool is located in Rožná’s sports complex and has a 30 × 10-meter outdoor pool for swimming. Hradisko is visited by mineralogy excursions, usually from schools in Brno. In addition, cycle route 5130 from Nové Město na Moravě to Pernštejn passes through Rožná at kilometer 21.00.

The Rožná municipal library collects, preserves, and provides information about the municipality.
