Habry: Hotels and accommodations

The former synagogue of Habry is located in the city’s historic center, northwest of the main square. After being converted into a cinema, it has essentially retained its original enclosing walls and roof structure. The synagogue was built in 1825 or 1828; its exterior is distinctly Neoclassical.

Táborec is associated with the field camp of Jan Žižka and his army in 1422. At Táborec there is a large stone seat on which the military commander Jan Žižka is said to have rested.

In Habry, you can visit the Baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The Jewish cemetery of Habry is located about two kilometers from the city. It is situated in Březová alej, a protected landscape area, and contains preserved Baroque and Neoclassical gravestones.

With an area of 13 hectares, Haberský rybník is a defining landscape feature of Habry. In the time of the Přemyslids, the historic Haberská stezka connected the Znojemsko region with Prague and passed through Habry.

A cycling tour from Chotěboř via Vepříkov to Světlá nad Sázavou passes through Habry.
