Svetlá nad Sázavou: Hotels and accommodations

The first written mention of St. Wenceslas Church is found in a document issued by its patron, Vilémov Abbot Jaroslav II, dated July 13, 1318. At that time, it was a single-nave Early Gothic building in the shape of a cross.

The Muzeum Světelska has been located in the eastern Baroque wing of the château since summer 2007. It documents the history of the town, the château, the noble families, and the surrounding area. The exhibition also presents glassmaking and stone masonry as two of the most important occupations of the local population.

Světelský Park covers approximately 16 hectares. It was probably established by Count František Josef Salm-Reifferscheidt in the course of extensive construction and renovation work in 1871. Its romantic structures and features include pavilions, stone staircases, Čertův most, an alpine garden, and ponds with water lilies. The town maintains Světelský Park for visitors from the town as well as from the surrounding area and beyond.

Melechov is classified as a mountain and is located in the vicinity of Světlá nad Sázavou. Ostojovka (Ledeč nad Sázavou-Souboř), which is classified as a mountain, is also located in the vicinity.
