Úsobí: Hotels and Accommodation

Úsobí Castle is currently open to anyone interested in its history, its distinctive rooms and its unusual chambers. Fishing is possible at Panský rybník pond, directly beside Úsobí Castle; a permit can be arranged through the castle.

The Baroque Chapel of the Guardian Angels was built in 1715, closed in 1783 as part of the Josephine reforms, and gradually fell into its present ruined state. From the ruins of the Chapel of the Guardian Angels, there is a view across the surrounding area; a covered tourist shelter stands next to it. The ruins of the Chapel of the Guardian Angels are located about one kilometre south of the centre of Úsobí. A paved path leads to them; vehicles can be parked at the beginning of this path by the cemetery.

The glassworks in Úsobí initially produced potash glass and later cut lead crystal.

The Úsobská muzikantská pouť takes place every year on the weekend closest to the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. The Úsobské hudební léto comprises three concerts held in the early evening on the three Sundays following the Úsobská muzikantská pouť.

The entire route from Radňov to Větrný Jeníkov is 14 kilometres long; between the Chapel of St Anne and the viewpoint above Úsobí, there is a section of approximately four kilometres. The blue-marked hiking trail from Radňov to Úsobí largely follows the course of the Úsobský potok stream. The Chapel of St Anne between Úsobí and Chválkov comes alive every year in the middle of the summer holidays with the Svatoanenská pouť pilgrimage. In the immediate vicinity of Úsobí, near the Kukačka forester’s lodge on the route between the Chapel of St Anne and Úsobí, grows a remarkable sycamore maple consisting of seven fused trunks.
