Cibotín: Hotels and Accommodation

Cibotín was founded by Sybot in the first half of the 13th century in connection with the settlement of this landscape for silver mining.

History and Culture

The Cibotínský mlýn was first mentioned in 1328 in the land register of Pohled Monastery and was completely rebuilt around 1670. The preserved mill building can be visited by prior arrangement. Cibotín is also home to a chapel with a memorial plaque commemorating those who fell in the First World War.

Cibotín lies on the Jitkovský potok. Světka, Vysoká and Rosička are located in the surroundings of Cibotín; the three named landscape features are considered mountains. The named hill Panská pole [Žižkovo Pole-Macourov] is also located in the immediate vicinity.

The “Z Havlíčkova Brodu do Chotěboře” cycle route passes through Cibotín between Česká Bělá and Jitkov. A cycle route leads from Česká Bělá towards Cibotín. The “Circuit from Havlíčkův Brod through Chotěboř” route also leads from Česká Bělá towards Cibotín. In the wider regional surroundings are the named Orlík ruin and the named Smetanovy sady park.
