Jeřišno: Hotels and Accommodations

Jeřišno is located in the CHKO Železné hory protected landscape area. The landscape of the Železné hory, with forests, meadows, ponds, fields, and small settlements, can be explored along numerous cycle paths and marked hiking trails.

The historic Liběcká obchodní stezka trade route passed through Jeřišno. A defining landmark of the village is the Church of St. Wenceslas (“Kostel sv. Václava”): it stands on a rise in the center of Jeřišno, on a former cemetery surrounded by a stone wall. The church has been documented since 1350. Its core is Gothic; it was later extended and remodelled in the Baroque style.

Historical evidence can also be found in Heřmaň. The rectory is currently used as a gallery, and a preserved memorial to the victims of the First World War also stands there. The former school building dates from the 18th century, is considered the oldest school building in the Okres Havlíčkův Brod district, and is currently used as residential space.

Above Heřmaň, on a rise, the outline of the foundations of a former wooden fortress can still be discerned. The settlement, known as “Ves Zerussna,” was first mentioned in 1406 in connection with Vilémov Monastery and Přibík ze Sázavy; at that time, its location was placed somewhere above Heřmaň.

The municipal calendar lists the Jeřišský Gulášfest for September 23, 2024, and August 24, 2026. The event “Vepřové hody” is listed in the municipal calendar for January 21, 2025, and January 20, 2026. The public ice-skating event “Jeřišské veřejné bruslení” took place on December 4, 2024, and December 10, 2025.
