Hribeci: Hotels and Accommodation

The former Hříběcí brickworks on the eastern edge of Hříběcí, near the road from Horní Cerekev to Kamenice nad Lipou, is so well preserved that it conveys an impression of traditional brick production. It consists of an elongated building where bricks were dried and fired; the kilns vent their flue gases through an approximately 16 m high brick chimney. The Hříběcí brickworks offer guided tours of the historic brickworks.

Culture and History

The traditional Masopustní průvod procession in Hříběcí was held again after a longer break. On April 4, 2025, the amateur theater group Hříběcké divadýlko performed the play “DVEŘE” by author Jan Zindulka at the Hříběcká hospoda in Hříběcí.

In the vicinity of Hříběcí are Janštejn, a ruin, and Roštejn (Doupě), a castle. In the wider regional area around Hříběcí are Svatá Anna, a church, and Orlík, a ruin. Holubcův rybník is a private fishing pond in Hříběcí.

There are four ponds in Hříběcí; the large Horní Martínkův rybník is connected to Malý Martinkův rybník. A paved path runs around Návesní rybník in Hříběcí, making it suitable for an interesting family walk. The banks of Horní rybník offer beautiful, romantic views of Hříběcí.
