Putimov: Hotels and Accommodation

Putimov shows its character particularly clearly in the village square: the historic settlement layout is a so-called “okrouhlice”, with the village square at its center. The oldest part of Putimov consisted of around 13 farmsteads surrounding the village square.

Culture and History

The Chapel of the Holy Trinity, built in 1830, stands in the village square. It was repaired in 2002–2003 and ceremonially consecrated on September 28, 2003. There is also a clear connection to film history: the film “Smuteční slavnost” was shot in Putimov in 1969.

Several annual events shape the course of the year. The Putimovská lávka takes place every year on the last Saturday in July. A Masopust procession also takes place through the village every year. The singing of Christmas carols at the chapel in Putimov also takes place annually.

Routes and Landscape

The cycling tour from Pelhřimov to Křemešník follows forest and field paths as well as paved sections. The “Pelhřimovský prstýnek” circular route leads through forests, across fields, and through villages. Putimov also has an outdoor swimming pool that has been renovated.
