Horní Rápotice: Hotels and Accommodation

The “In the Footsteps of Gothic” route runs mainly along roads as well as forest and field paths. As a cycling tour, it reaches Horní Rápotice after passing by Peruš Pond.

Routes

Even in winter, cross-country ski route C from Brunka continues through Horní Rápotice in the direction of Háj. It is 25.6 km long. A shorter version of the winter cross-country ski route through Horní Rápotice is 11 km long.

Culture

The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes stands in Horní Rápotice. It belongs to the Roman Catholic parish of Kaliště.

At the southern edge of Horní Rápotice, along the road towards Humpolec, stand the brick Boží muka roadside shrines. They have a square rubble-stone base topped by a brick rectangular shaft. On top is a slightly wider, solid chapel with a gabled roof and a large round-arched niche.

The memorial stone bears an engraved Greek cross on its front, along with other symbols that probably depict a weaver’s shuttle and a wheel. According to tradition, it was erected in memory of a weaver who was run over by a wagon.
