Landscape and nature

Syrov is situated in a rural, diverse landscape consisting of fields, meadows, pastures and wooded areas. The valley of the Martinický potok near Syrov is characterised by a landscape with deeply incised valleys. The Martinický potok is home to a large population of bullhead (Cottus gobio) along a very long stretch of the watercourse.

The former Syrovský Mlýn is located on the road from Senožaty to Syrov in the valley of the Martinický potok and has been documented since 1736.
