Culture
The Church of Saint Martin in Biskupice has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958. Its central altarpiece was created by J. Winterhaltr in the second half of the 18th century.
Biskupické safari comprises around 80 brightly painted concrete figures of animals and other creatures. The main group of 80 sculptures is currently being restored and is clearly visible from the road. The sculptures of Biskupické safari, created by Františka Blechová, are classified by art historians as naïve art, the so-called Art Brut.
History
The archaeological site “hrádek a středověké jádro obce Biskupice” comprises the remains of a ditch and rampart belonging to a former fortification. Paleolithic finds from Biskupice include flakes from several tools.
The vanished Pulkov Castle lies approximately 1 km northwest of Pulkov and survives as a freely accessible site marked by traces in the terrain.
