Jasenice: Hotels and Accommodation

In the centre of Jasenice stands the Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene, Kaple sv. Máří Magdaleny, which according to oral tradition is older than the church. It preserves Romanesque window features; a masonry pulpit is attached to it. A bell hangs in its wooden roof turret, which, according to credible older reports, dates back to 1494 and can be rung by hand.

The Church of St. Clement, Kostel sv. Klimenta, was probably built between the 10th and 12th centuries and was an important pilgrimage site. According to tradition, pilgrimages took place there as early as around 1320. The church offers sweeping views over the surrounding area. On the way there stands the Calvary ensemble, Sousoší Kalvárie, complemented by rustic sculptures of Saint John and the Virgin Mary created by the local sculptor Přichystal.

Remains of the fortress, Tvrz, with supporting buttresses are visible; the outer front is 18 metres long. The former manor house of the fortress preserves one of its originally two entrance gates. The surviving remains show that the fortress, Tvrz, was a two-winged Renaissance building.

Cycle Route 5183 runs through the Jasinka Valley to Jasenice.

The Jezevčí díra karst cave is located in the vicinity of Jasenice. It was formed in an isolated limestone block and is unusual in the wider area.
