Lhotice: Hotels and Accommodation

Along the excursion railway line running through Lhotice, there are signposted paths for pedestrians and tourists. The “Trip to ‘Hlubočák’” leads from Jemnice via Lhotice and the Tři Koroptve settlement back to Jemnice. The “Castles, Chateaux and Ruins” route continues as far as Jemnice.

Lhotice was first mentioned in writing in 1361; at that time, the municipality belonged to Otík ze Lhotic. The local Jemnice–Moravské Budějovice railway line began operating in 1896 in a picturesque landscape.

The Lípa u Lhotic lime tree stands by a wayside cross east of the village. It is a small-leaved lime, reaches a height of 20 metres and has a trunk circumference of 385 centimetres. The first protection declaration for Lípa u Lhotic dates from 12 February 1976.

The cultural monuments in Lhotice include the chapel on the village square. The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Lhotice is a Neo-Gothic building dating from 1925. There is another chapel and seven crosses in the vicinity of Lhotice.
