Kostníky: Hotels and Accommodations

A distinctive natural area of Kostníky is the Suché skály Nature Reserve. It lies within the municipal and cadastral area of Kostníky and protects natural forest communities with relict pines as well as scree and rock vegetation. Rare and endangered plants and animals occur there, particularly the critically endangered Moravian pink (Dianthus moravicus).

The only historic entrance to Kostníky is known as “Brána.” East of Kostníky, on the road to Vysočany, stands a small rectangular niche chapel of the Classicist type.

The modern bell tower on the village square houses a bell bearing the year 1662. The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is an early Baroque church dating from 1696; it stands in Hájek on a wooded ridge at the southern edge of Kostníky.

A wayside shrine from the 17th century stands on the road to Kdousov, and another wayside shrine from the early 18th century stands on the road to Police.

The Schloßberg ruins are located in the vicinity of Kostníky. The mountains known as Špičák, Modrácký kopec, and Síbeňák are also located nearby. The mountain Svatý Vít lies in the wider regional vicinity of Kostníky.

The wider regional area also contains Karlslust Castle and Wildberg Castle. The Weißes Marterl wayside shrine is located in the vicinity of Kostníky.

The “Rajmundský mlýn” mill is an old mill with a sawmill on the Bihanka below a small water reservoir; as an isolated settlement, it lies east of Kostníky.

The Kostnický košt was held in numbered editions from 2013 to 2026; the years 2013 to 2024 are mentioned for the Kostnický košt slivovice.

The “Od Bihanky k Želetavce” route follows a wide paved farm track to the edge of Kostníky.
