Landscape and Nature

The built-up part of Klučov lies at the foot of Klučovská hora in the valley of the Střížovský potok stream at an elevation of 537 m. Klučovská hora itself is 595.5 m high. Below the mountain lies Horák Pond; it is located near the Klučovský kopec Nature Monument.

The Klučovský kopec Nature Monument was first placed under protection on 28 October 1982. The protected area preserves stands containing several protected species, especially the great pasque flower.

House No. 17 on the village green in Klučov preserves a kitchen with a Czech barrel vault.

Paths and Routes

Cycle Route 401 connects Třebíč, Klučov, Lipník, Hrotovice, and Dukovany. The 16 km cycle route “To the Pasque Flowers and the Alpine Viewpoint” leads over Klučovská hora and returns to Třebíč via Cycle Route 401.

The 18.9 km tour “In Search of Views under Klučovská hora” follows forest paths and the yellow-marked hiking trail along the slope of Klučovská hora. The Třebíč Circuit passes through Klučov and is marked with a yellow tourist trail marker. Klučov is listed as a bus stop in the information for this circuit.

There are also established connections for cycling tours: the 35–40 km cycle tour “Into the Forests beyond Lipník” leads over the wooded ridge of Klučovská hora to Klučov and onward to Lipník.
