Rácovice: Hotels and Accommodation

A cast-iron cross stands directly in front of the chapel. The wayside cross at the chapel is registered as a cultural monument under number 18117/7-3096. It stands on a stone pedestal, has trefoil ends and a cast-iron corpus of Christ; at its base there is a 19th-century relief of Our Lady of Sorrows.

The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Rácovice dates from the first half of the 18th century. A historic granary shapes the courtyard beside the pond.

The former sheepfold was converted into a residential building in 1896. Around the middle of the 14th century, a stone stronghold presumably already stood in Rácovice or was under construction. According to the traditional local history, escape passages from the Rácovice fortress ran beneath the front part of the former sheepfold.

Rácovický Pond lies in the middle of the Bihanka valley. Around 1700, a cascade of ponds was built along the left-hand wooded side as far as Dědice. The pond below Křivánky was formerly used for fish farming; below its dam there were fish-holding ponds.

The historic village centre and the village square around the chapel essentially comprise a public green area laid out as a park.

Two routes of local importance cross in Rácovice. The existing network of field and farm tracks in Rácovice can also be used to some extent by pedestrians and cyclists.
