From 1600, Menhartice belonged to the Jemnice estate; a manorial farm in the village has been documented since 1609. The rural estate on plot No. 4 is designated as an immovable cultural monument, as is the wayside cross on plot No. 1090/11. Jemnice Castle was created by rebuilding a territorial lord's castle founded at the beginning of the 13th century.
