Nový Telečkov: Hotels and Accommodation

Nový Telečkov has a rare circular village structure for the Czech Republic: the houses are arranged around the central village square. The village lies in the eastern part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands.

Culture and History

In the centre of Nový Telečkov stands the Chapel of the Virgin Mary, dating from 1832. It was consecrated on 28 October 1832. Above the village is a granite monument featuring a family coat of arms, the Moravian coat of arms, several inscriptions and the motto “V rodu je síla.”

At the nearby former Hradisko castle site, a watch post is considered a historical landmark; in times of danger, a warning fire was lit there that could be seen from other castles. Double ramparts have been preserved and remain visible in the nearby Hradisko site.

In the area around Nový Telečkov, you can go hiking and pick mushrooms. A yellow hiking trail leads from Trnava–Kobylince via Přeckov and Hroznatín to Nový Telečkov. Visitors can swim in a nearby recently renovated pond near Nový Telečkov.
