Studnice: Hotels and Accommodation
Studnice is located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The highest peak in the municipality is Studnická strážnice, at 509 m above sea level. Dolní rybník, one of two ponds in Studnice, is located in the village center. The Oslava flows through a picturesque wooded valley along the northeastern cadastral boundary of Studnice.
Cycling
Road III/36056 connects Budišov with Rohy and Oslavička via Kundelov and Studnice. Cycle route 5206 also passes through Studnice between Oslava and Budišov. A longer connection is the 40-kilometer “Along the Oslava River” cycle route: it leads from Oslava via Studnice and Kundelov to Budišov and beyond, passing through other places before returning to Náměšť nad Oslavou. The route can be shortened; a return journey by train is possible from Budišov or Kojatín.
Culture
The chapel in Studnice has a bell dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Řihákův mlýn, formerly known as Hamžův mlýn, stands on the right bank of the Oslava between Dolní Heřmanice and Studnice. The mill dates from around 1640, and its building is a cultural monument.
History
In 1481, Konrád z Miroslavě, Berta z Kokor and her son bought the village of Studnice with its farm and appurtenances; Konrád apparently built a fortress there. The fortress in Studnice soon fell into ruin after it ceased to serve as a lordly residence.
