The Empire-style Church of St. Giles is the central landmark on Strmilov's market square. The parish church was rebuilt in the Empire style after the great fires of 1824 and 1835; construction of the new building took place from 1843 to 1849. It is a three-nave church with a 33-metre-high prismatic tower. The furnishings include a stone baptismal font dating from 1725.

The Church of St. Andrew in Strmilov has frescoes in the presbytery dating from around 1604. A memorial plaque at the church names nine American airmen who were shot down near Vlčice in August 1944 and buried by the church wall.

Tkalcovna Kubák is a craft workshop specialising in traditional wool processing, weaving and the production of designer home textiles. It currently mainly produces wool blankets, plaids and throws, as well as cotton tablecloths, placemats and bags.
