Rapšach: Hotels and Accommodation

Rapšach is home to the Church of St. Zikmund, built around 1450 and given a Neo-Gothic tower during renovations in 1890. The entire church building is a protected monument.

Culture

The virtual historical educational trail “Obec postižená historií” is not signposted in the landscape and can be completed with the help of an accompanying brochure. The trail is approximately 10 km long and can be completed in several sections. Most stops include questions or tasks, especially for children.

At Rapšašské Zikmundohraní on 1 May 2026, the programme begins with a Mass at 8:00 a.m. At 9:00 a.m., a concert by the Rapšašker Chamber Orchestra and Choir follows; further cultural programmes take place in the village square.

Routes

Cycle Route No. 3, “Vitorazská jízda 2018”, passes through Rapšach and is part of a regional circular route connecting České Velenice, Klikov and the border crossing.

Nature

The Pískovna u Dračice natural monument is located in the cadastral area of Rapšach, in a former gravel and sand pit. It is home to a regularly reproducing population of the critically endangered European green toad. The Pískovna u Dračice area is accessible to pedestrians and cyclists via public paths.

The Dračice area comprises a deeply meandering, gorge-like river valley with a riverbed shaped by boulders, a river ecosystem, and associated habitats of protected plants and animals.

The mountains Hoher Berg, Teichberg and Hofbauernberg are located around Rapšach, as are the Geyersteine monument and the Rotes Kreuz and Jägerkreuz shrines. The Lunkowitzkreuz shrine is located nearby.
