Honětice: Swimming Pond, History and Kaštanová Route
The Dvůr Honětice swimming pond was built in 2012 as a bathing area with a natural water filtration system.
Water
The water is purified using three biological zones. This system includes planted shallow-water areas and a species-rich community of aquatic plants. The swimming pond also has a large paddling pool and a non-swimmer area. The facility is thus divided into several clearly designated water areas, while the planting is part of the natural filtration system.
The swimming pond offers refreshments and sports equipment rental. The facility also has a washroom, toilets, and showers; all facilities are accessible to people with disabilities. Thus, in addition to the water areas, the supplementary facilities mentioned on site are also an integral part of the swimming pond.
Culture and History
The Chapel of St. Anne stands in the village square of Honětice. It is a local landmark of significance. Its location in the village square gives this building a clearly designated place within Honětice.
The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is the only monument in Honětice and dates from the mid-18th century. Its dating distinguishes it from the chapel as another named testimony in the village.
The cultural character of the village does not end at the village square. In the Oboře forest there is a prehistoric hillfort with skeletal graves.
Hiking and Landscape
The connection between landscape and history continues above Honětice. From Zdislavice toward Honětice, the Kaštanová hiking route follows a green-marked trail. Above Honětice, the Kaštanová Route passes the abandoned settlement of Svárov and the remains of the Tvrz Svárov fortification.
On the eastern side of the Tvrz Svárov site, a visible ditch and rampart have been preserved. The historical traces are therefore part of the named route, without the individual places and sites losing their own names.
The chestnut avenue above Honětice comprises 332 trees and is designated as a protected avenue listed as a heritage monument. The Kaštanová Route offers views of the Chřiby Hills, the Kroměřížsko region, and the Hostýn Hills.
Also pay attention to price components as well as booking and cancellation conditions. With several offers, these fields can be compared directly. Check whether the services important to you are clearly listed and the costs are broken down in an understandable way. Conditions for changes or cancellation should also be clearly worded. Take the time needed for comparison before completing a booking, and base your decision on the specific features indicated for each offer. Keep the scope of services, occupancy, and total price in view together. Especially when price components differ, it helps to compare not only the final amount but also the included services and applicable conditions.
