Napajedla: Hotels Between Culture, Trails and Water

The Stezky Napajedelských emirátů are a 70-kilometre network of marked trails with beautiful views, connecting Napajedla with the surrounding municipalities. They are intended for pedestrians and cyclists with mountain bikes. The Jablunkov–Velehrad route of the Cyril and Methodius Trail also passes through Napajedla.

Culture

The Napajedla Stud Farm is a uniquely authentic surviving example of special agricultural architecture from the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. This architecture is connected with organised horse breeding and has no equivalent in the region. The Napajedla Stud Farm is designated as a cultural monument.

Napajedla Chateau is a detached, U-shaped, two-winged building in the style of late French Baroque, featuring a historic round Mirror Hall. It is surrounded by a ten-hectare park, mostly laid out in the English style, with numerous rare woody plants and a romantic pond with water lilies.

The late Baroque Church of Saint Bartholomew in Napajedla was completed in 1712 and consecrated in 1741. The Napajedla Museum is fully wheelchair accessible from the courtyard of the New Monastery and has accessible parking spaces and bicycle racks. Its permanent exhibitions focus on the history of the town and on industrial companies that have significantly influenced life in Napajedla. In the permanent exhibition “Toy Playground”, the museum displays toys by Libuše Niklová and Alfréd Klug; the exhibition was designed by the artist Petr Nikl.

Nature

Lesopark Kalvárie is located on a hill above the town and offers walks with beautiful views. The educational trail through Lesopark Kalvárie includes playful educational elements, animal sounds, information about nature and a forest playground with a climbing feature.

Water

The Baťa Canal is a historic 52-kilometre waterway built between 1935 and 1938, connecting Otrokovice with Rohatec. Today, it serves as a tourist waterway and offers opportunities for boating, water tourism and cycling.

There are two ports in Napajedla: Přístav Emila Spiro in the town centre and the port of the same name at the Pahrbek recreational area.
