Tvebishi: Hotels and Accommodations

Tvebishi is a waypoint on the Etseri–Meziri–Becho hiking route. The marked trail is 18 km long, classified as moderately difficult, and described as feasible in one day; its forest section descends to Tvebishi and then continues toward Mazeri. Geographical Setting

On the hiking trail network of Upper Svaneti, Tvebishi is a trail junction toward Mazeri. Hikers pass a mineral spring, cross the Dolra River, continue past the Grand Hotel Ushba, and turn toward Mazeri at a T-junction.

Landscape and Nature

The area surrounding Tvebishi includes Shdugra Waterfall, Gora Tsymzagar Mountain, Mta Ch’arinda Mountain, and Gora Gul Mountain. The Etseri–Meziri–Becho route offers views of southern Ushba and villages in the Becho community and passes through alpine meadows, forests, and mountain landscapes.

The very small, high-altitude Lake Meziri lies along the hiking route. In summer, it can be relatively dry, but it reflects the surrounding peaks and alpine nature.

Culture and Surroundings

Razvaliny Guli is located in the immediate vicinity of Tvebishi. Razvaliny Nizhniy Kyzgen is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Tvebishi.

The route includes Mezuris Angelosi Church, situated on a hill and described as an 11th-century church. Below the church are a small lake and a shelter; the trail continues through the wider Becho Valley and reaches Tvebishi.
