Culture and regional produce offer further highlights: Sümeg Castle is a relatively well-preserved medieval fortress on a bare hill rising above its surroundings. An interactive exhibition opened at the castle in spring 2023, after extensive renovation work was completed in 2022. In Badacsony, distinctive grapes are grown on the hillsides and used to produce Badacsony wine.
