Kabanbay has a museum house created by resident Bakyt Akmolda in a two-room house on his property. The collection includes scales from the 1940s and a cartwheel from the 18th century. The Kabanbay Museum House also displays household items from the Soviet era as well as paintings.

A bakery in Kabanbay supplies residents with fresh baked goods every day. It makes several types of bread and produces confectionery products for ongoing sale.

An agricultural fair was scheduled for August 5, 2023, on the square in Kabanbay Park; beef, mutton, horse meat, fish products, and dairy products were to be offered.
