In the regional context of Kokkol', Katon-Karagay National Park is part of the transboundary Altai Biosphere Reserve. The park's natural monuments include the Kokkol Waterfalls.

Hiking and Horse Riding

The Altai Trails route covers 100 km and takes 7–9 days. It is a seasonal tourist excursion route for hiking and horseback tours.

The “K podnozhiyu Belukhi” trek takes 9 days and covers 95 kilometers. It leads through the valley of the White Berel River and includes a visit to Kokkol Waterfall.

Entry into the border zone for the White Berel Trail requires a permit, which can be obtained through the permit section of Kazakhstan's e-gov.

The Kokkol Mine is located at an altitude of 3,000 meters.

The Kokkol Mine is described as a mining monument and open-air museum in the valley of the Bolshoy Kokkol River. The extraction of tungsten and molybdenum began in 1938, and the mine operated until 1954. The cold climate helped preserve the buildings and equipment.
