Culture

The St. Elijah Church on Ilinica is an Orthodox church on the border between Montenegro and Croatia. On Ilinica above Žvinje, next to the church, there is a monument and a mass grave for French soldiers killed in 1806; the monument was erected by French soldiers in 1919. There is also a monument commemorating French soldiers who died in Boka during Napoleon’s rule. South of the church lies a 15th-century stećak, regarded as a marble tombstone.
