Baošići: Hotels and Accommodation
Baošići is located on the southeastern shore of the Bay of Kotor between Đenovići and Bijela and stretches for approximately 2 kilometres along the coast. Dozens of natural pebble beaches line the bay; access to all beaches is unrestricted. The calm, shallow water at the beaches of Baošići is particularly suitable for children. The town is also one of the excursion and bathing resorts of the Herceg Novi Riviera. Those wishing to book a hotel in Baošići can then continue their accommodation search.
Coast
The location by the water shapes Baošići just as much as its numerous natural pebble beaches. The finale of the Mimosa Festival is held on the Baošići waterfront promenade, continuing a tradition that spans more than 40 years.
Culture
The Church of Saint Nicholas is listed as an immovable cultural asset of local importance. It was built more than 400 years ago and restored in 1802. The Dom starog kapetana Štumbergera Museum in Baošići is managed by the public museum institution Herceg Novi. The Dom starog kapetana was opened to visitors in 1955; the estate includes a park and a small vineyard. The collection in the Štumberger House comprises ethnological objects, antique weapons, books, models of sailing ships, amphorae, icons, paintings and old coins.
History
The French writer Pierre Loti came ashore in Baošići in 1880. From the heyday of seafaring in the Bay of Kotor, it is recorded that Baošići had more than 30 ocean-going ships and over 50 sea captains. The monument in Dubci, Baošići, commemorates six fighters of the National Liberation War. The six patriots honoured there were executed by the Italian occupation authorities on 5 August 1942.
