Donje Stravče: Hotels and Accommodations

Donje Stravče is described as a gentle mountain village with numerous meadows and cultivated fields. A road climbs from the settlement to a pass and a viewpoint on the edge of the Jelova glava Canyon. At the same time, the village lies on a comparatively flat stretch before the road continues to Kastrat in hairpin bends.

Hiking

A hiking route from Donje Stravče reaches Orline via Krušev do. The route leaves Donje Stravče on a rural gravel road toward Brskut and passes through Milačići and Dubaja. It then descends to Krušev do at an elevation of 1,007 meters. The Donje Stravče–Orline excursion is 14 kilometers long and unmarked, although old village paths are still visible. Its starting point is near the houses of Lazović in Donje Stravče at an elevation of 1,149 meters.

A rocky section near the summit of Orline is difficult because of sloping rocks and rock fissures caused by erosion after a fire. The excursion passes the Priboj viewpoint near Milačići. From there, hikers can see into the Mala Rijeka Canyon before the route continues to Donje Stravče. The trail also offers views of Treskavac and the peaks of Šila.

A circular hike that includes Donje Stravče is described as an easy route of approximately 12.5 kilometers. It has around 300 meters of elevation gain and takes about six hours; a shorter variant bypasses Jelova glava.
