Nature and Trails

The picturesque surroundings of Cislău include flowing waters, gentle hills, lakes, and deciduous and coniferous forests. One tourist route leads from Vf. Seciu via the “Valea Zidului” trail to the ruins of Doamnei Neaga Monastery. In 1588, Doamna Neaga had a monastery built in a clearing not far from the village of Buda-Crăciunești.

The route information has different levels: the number twelve describes the offerings in the area, the marked trails indicate the connection from Cislău to the monastery ruins, and the route from Vf. Seciu via “Valea Zidului” identifies one individual trail. Rivers, hills, lakes, and deciduous and coniferous forests add distinct landscape features to this information for day planning. For your own planning, you can compare the different routes and landscape types separately. A named starting point, a named trail section, and a destination appear alongside the broader route information; the landscape description identifies bodies of water, elevations, and forest types as clearly distinguishable elements.
