The themed fauna trail in Semenic–Cheile Carașului National Park is 3.4 kilometers long, has an elevation difference of 100 meters, takes about one hour and includes 16 information panels.

It runs between Crivaia and Vila Klaus near Văliug along the DJ 582D in the Bârzăvița Valley. Vila Klaus can be reached by car via the DJ 582D and on foot via the red-marked Comarnic–Semenic hiking trail.

A second cycling tour designated by Caraș-Severin County starts at Lacul Gozna and leads, among other places, via Crucea Văliug and Peștera Comarnic. This route is 47.4 kilometers long and has a total elevation gain of 1,415 meters and a total descent of 1,410 meters. Winter Sports

Culture and History

Vila Klaus, its outbuildings and a leisure park were built in 1808 with Austrian architectural influences in the forest of the Bârzava Valley. Vila Klaus served as a school for the future King Mihai.

The Roman Catholic church in Văliug is designated as a historic monument. It was founded in 1861 and has Saint Francis of Assisi as its patron saint. The church building was completed in 1861 in the Neo-Gothic style, using concrete, stone and unfired bricks.
