Venus: Beach, Lacul Venus and Architecture

In Venus, the beach stretches for approximately 1.5 kilometers and is up to 200 meters wide. Three deep bays divide it into narrow sections. At Venus Beach, the water is only knee-deep for several dozen meters from the shore. These figures for length, width and water depth provide different reference points when planning your time by the water. Venus is arranged around the artificially created Lacul Venus; leisure activities such as pedal boating are offered on the lake.

Nature

Sulfurous hypothermal mineral springs originate in the Venus resort area. Venus has the largest green space among the seaside resorts on the coast. Southwest of Venus lies the 98-hectare Mlaștina Hergheliei nature reserve, a mixed-type nature reserve with open water areas, marsh vegetation and reed beds.

The beach, lake and nature reserve can be viewed as different landscape themes. The size figures and the spatial relationship provide specific reference points for planning individual days.

Culture

Venus was designed and built in the early 1970s. Most hotels in Venus bear female names from Roman mythology or names of flowers. The Raluca Hotel in Venus is a circular four-story building with a Japanese garden laid out in its center.

At the Vulturul, Cocorul and Pajura high-rise buildings, the floor plans resemble a spider; the rooms are arranged radially around a central core and are tilted at different angles relative to it.

Activities

Water sports such as yachting, windsurfing and pedal boating can be enjoyed in Venus. Parasailing, kitesurfing, banana boat rides and jet skiing are also available. Scuba diving courses are offered in Venus. Excursions at sea on various boats are also available in Venus.

The Herghelia Mangalia is located in the immediate vicinity of Venus, approximately 3 km away. It specializes in breeding Arabian thoroughbred horses and offers public presentation tours, equestrian shows and riding lessons on its own racetrack. The different types of activities can be distinguished for daily planning by water, sea and racetrack.

When comparing a hotel in Venus, the travel period, room category and cancellation conditions can be considered separately. These three details relate to the respective offer. For choosing a location, the beach, nature, architecture and activities can be weighed alongside one another as different priorities.
