Podu Coșnei and the Coșna Commune: Monastery, Springs and Routes

Podu Coșnei is one of the places in the Coșna Commune where mineral springs occur. The Coșna Commune is integrated into the Țara Dornelor ecotourism destination because of its natural heritage. The area can be reached by car or by train to Floreni railway station; from there, onward connections by minibuses are available. In addition to travelling by car, it is therefore also possible to arrive by train to Floreni and then continue by minibus. For travel planning, the connection described provides a clear sequence: the train travels to Floreni railway station, and the minibuses provide the onward connections into the area.

At the “Festivalul fructelor de pădure,” visitors can taste and buy jams, syrups, drinks and cakes made from wild berries collected in the countryside. The “Festivalul fructelor de pădure” also includes a folk music performance. The festival therefore combines culinary products made from wild berries and folk music within the same event setting. This makes the event a distinct cultural and culinary point of interest for Podu Coșnei and the Coșna Commune.
