Stupava combines parkland, paths through forests and along the river with historical landmarks and regional craft traditions. This character is particularly evident in the preserved sites and paths that showcase nature, history and local working traditions in various forms.

Parkland and River Landscape

Kaštieľsky Park offers opportunities for walks and other low-intensity leisure activities. The historic waterfall has also been restored there. Kaštieľsky Park in Stupava is expected to reopen to the public from 18 April 2026. The date given refers to the expected start of renewed public access.

The Morava Floodplain is directly accessible from Stupava, particularly by cyclists using signposted cycle tourism routes. In places, the cycle route to the Morava Floodplain passes through continuous forest complexes that represent fragments of former floodplain forests.

Culture and History

Stupavská Kalvária is a national cultural monument. Its central Baroque chapel features a distinctive two-storey design. Fourteen Stations of the Cross were probably incorporated into the enclosure wall of Stupavská Kalvária in the second half of the 19th century.

The Baroque manor house in Stupava was built in the 17th century on the site of an earlier water castle. A hiking trail leads from this manor house to the ruins of Pajštún Castle.

Museum and Greenhouse

The Ferdiš Kostka Museum is currently closed to the public and awaiting reconstruction. It preserves an authentic pottery workshop with its equipment, tools and a historic horizontal kiln.

The historic greenhouse in Stupava is a uniquely preserved monument of its kind in Slovakia. Alongside the religious and aristocratic buildings, this also places evidence of craft and horticultural traditions at the centre of attention.

Agricultural Tradition

Stupava's historic agricultural tradition was shaped particularly by cucumbers and cabbage. Farmers sold these products at markets in nearby Vienna and Pressburg. The two products are therefore among the specifically documented traces of the region's former economy.

When comparing hotel offers in Stupava, it is worth taking a close look at the individual listings before making a decision. Visitors can open and compare offers without inferring their location or facilities from the place name alone. On the offer page, particular attention should be paid to the exact location, the type of accommodation and occupancy for the desired period. It should also be clearly stated which services are included in the price and which price components may be charged additionally. The applicable booking, modification and cancellation conditions are also important. By comparing several options, these points can be checked in the same order and differences in costs and conditions assessed objectively. The decisive factors remain the specific features shown for each individual offer at the time of checking. The comparison therefore keeps the decision limited to the features actually shown and the specific conditions of the individual offer.
