The yellow-marked hiking trail 8802 leads from Slovenská Kajňa to Pohlodok and is 5.5 km long. The first section of the Domaša–Slanské vrchy cycling route begins at the municipal office in Slovenská Kajňa. The entire route is suitable for mountain bikes.

The Kajňanská desiatka run takes place every year in Slovenská Kajňa. Its route leads from Slovenská Kajňa below the Domaša Reservoir and around the balancing reservoir, through Malá Domaša and back to Slovenská Kajňa.

The Church of the Most Holy Trinity was built in 1925 on the site of an older church in the historicist style. It has a tower with pseudo-Gothic elements. Every year, Slovenská Kajňa hosts a Saint Nicholas arrival celebration accompanied by an angel and a devil.
