The municipality of Videm lies on the southern edge of the Dravsko polje, where the Haloze hills come closest to the branches of the Dravinja River. Videm stretches along the Dravinja to the main transport route between Maribor and Zagreb.

Nature
At the edge of Videm, the Šturmovci Landscape Park lies between the Drava and the Dravinja. It covers 125 hectares.
The landscape park includes gravel habitats, shallow waters, cut-off river bends, spring meadows, as well as flooded forests and meadows. Šturmovci Landscape Park is also included in the official plans for nature conservation.
The Drava Natura 2000 Šturmovec educational trail leads through riparian forests, a cultural landscape, overgrown forests and gravel banks. Along the educational trail, there are six interpretation points focusing on species-rich meadows.
A covered lookout point along the Šturmovec educational trail allows visitors to observe birds, butterflies and small mammals.
Trails
The Videmska planinska pot is an easy 25-kilometre hiking trail. It passes through Šturmovci before reaching Videm pri Ptuju.
The Drava Double Loop cycling route passes through Šturmovci Landscape Park.
The Vineyard Trail begins in the settlement of Videm pri Ptuju. Part of the Vineyard Trail follows the same route as the E7 long-distance trail.
Culture
The Church of St Vitus has architecture of medieval origin with Renaissance and Baroque elements. The structure consists of a nave with two chapels, a three-sided apse and a bell tower.
The parish church of St Vitus was built as early as the Romanesque period and was first mentioned in 1320. In Videm pri Ptuju, the Church of St Vitus is listed as an immovable cultural monument under EŠD number 3482.
In the centre of Videm, the Church of St Vitus complex includes a former tower, a medieval vicarage, a chaplaincy and a house around the parish church.
The parish church in Videm houses relics of Saint Donatus, which the residents of Videm received from Rome in 1750.
In Dravinjski Vrh, a Romanesque church dedicated to Saint John the Baptist stands on the right bank of the Dravinja. The Church of Saint John the Baptist in Dravinjski Vrh is considered one of the oldest churches in Slovenia and is listed as an immovable cultural monument under EŠD number 3483.
The Tržec ethnographic museum, Djočanova domačija, preserves the Zbirka haloškega roba collection.
At Djočanova domačija, members of the association demonstrate traditional agricultural activities, including weaving fishing nets and baskets.
At Djočanova domačija, rooms can be used for picnics, meetings or educational workshops; rafting trips on the Dravinja are also available.
A castle known as Dranek, also called Tranek, once stood on a hill above a church. It was destroyed by the Turks in 1532 and fell into ruin, so no traces of it remain today.
