In the vicinity of Kotor Varoš, Cvrcka Canyon features numerous cascades, plunge pools, waterfalls and caves. A hiking trail runs along the entire length of the canyon, leading through picturesque landscapes and past authentic watermills. Also in the surrounding area, Skakavac Waterfall plunges from a height of around 20 metres. Local ecologists and mountaineers have prepared access to this waterfall. It connects the municipality with the Banja Luka region and the Doboj region.

The “Dolinom Vrbanje” rakija festival features exhibition stands and tastings of various homemade rakijas. It also offers insights into the regional tradition of fruit growing and rakija production. Kotlićijada is a recurring culinary event in Kotor Varoš; its 13th edition took place in 2022. The 2026 Kotorvaroško ljeto programme included the event “Veče domaće kuhinje i radinosti”.
