Discover Ugljevik: Nature, Culture and History

Borova Šuma is located not far from the centre of Ugljevik. Borova Šuma has numerous marked hiking trails suitable for walkers and cyclists; it is also suitable for sports and recreational tourism. The surroundings of Ugljevik include Jablan grad, a medieval fortress, and the Hajduk Novak Cave in Krćina. Jablan grad Fortress was built in the Middle Ages; today, only sparse traces of the former town and its life remain there.

The Monastery of Saint Alexander Nevsky is the only place of worship in Bosnia and Herzegovina built by Russians; it was under the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate.
