Vlaychovtsi: Hotels and Accommodation

Nature

The route follows the ridge of the Strazhata karst plateau and then descends southeast towards Lake Belyakovets.

Bulgarka Nature Park is described as an area encompassing territories of the municipalities of Gabrovo and Tryavna. The park also has 580 km of marked tourist routes. Bulgarka Nature Park provides visitors with 29 huts and shelters.

On the Way

The Vitata-Stena route is described as being of average difficulty and is suitable for cycling. Beyond Vlaychovtsi, there is an open-air riding school along the route. Horses can be rented from Zhivko.

Culture

The Gabrovo region combines preserved nature, museums, cultural monuments, architectural landmarks and a cultural calendar. The Bozhentsi Museum presents the architecture, history, daily life and culture of the local population from the late 18th to the early 20th century.

The Bozhentsi Museum hosts concerts, historical reenactments, theatre performances, photo and art plein airs, as well as craft demonstrations. The Etar open-air ethnographic museum preserves a collection of water-powered technical installations.

Etar's Craftsmen Street offers coffee brewed in hot sand, simit, pretzels, banitsa and traditional sweets.
