Kormyansko: Hotels and Accommodation

Kormyansko is located in the hilly terrain of the Krushevska Planina, with views of the Stara Planina. The village is situated near the Alexander Stamboliyski Reservoir; part of Kormyansko's land lies in protected areas and within the reservoir's protection zone.

Nature

The “Alexander Stamboliyski Reservoir” protection zone (BG0000275) is classified under the Habitats Directive. Kormyansko is listed as one of the settlements located within it. The protection zone was designated to preserve natural habitat types as well as the habitats, populations and distribution of the listed species.

Water

A water tourism excursion on the Rositsa River and the Alexander Stamboliyski Reservoir was organized by the Rositsa Mazalat Water Tourism Club and the Municipality of Sevlievo. The route began at the chicken farms near Kormyansko. The program included training for young kayakers. The club also decided to purchase a fully equipped two-person boat for water tourism activities.

Culture

Hotalich is an Early Byzantine and medieval fortress and settlement that developed into a large medieval Bulgarian city. The site dates approximately from the 5th to the 14th century and is designated as a cultural monument of national importance.

The Church of Saint Dimitar in Kormyansko was built between 1885 and 1888. Its murals were created by the Debar masters Naum and Nencho Ilievi. The church is actively used for religious services; a priest comes from the Batoshevo Monastery.

The Razvitie-1937 community cultural center has a hall with 250 seats, which is used for concerts, celebrations and other cultural events.

Transport

Third-class road III-403 runs through Kormyansko. It leads southeast towards Sevlievo and the first-class road I-4/E772, and northwest towards Pavlikeni.
