Culture and History

Kravenik was one of the Sevlievo villages whose population rose up in the April Uprising of 1876. The April Uprising was proclaimed at the foot of Baban Peak in the Sevlievo kaza.

The St Nicholas Church in Kravenik is a stone church with two domes, is one of Kravenik's notable sights, and stands at the highest point of the village.

A monument was erected in Kravenishki Boaz in 1900 to commemorate the battles of Gradnishki Boaz. The monument to those killed in the April Uprising also stands in Kravenishki Boaz, on the road from Kravenik toward Boaz.

Historical reenactments of battles from the April Uprising take place in the Boaza locality near Kravenik.

The Chitalishte Svetlina-1928 has a library with 6,200 volumes and a dance group.

Hiking and Landscape

The Kravenishka Trail was mapped as a mountain path at the Smesite locality; it crosses the mountain ridge and descends north toward Lagat. Traces of a broader road surface were also recorded near the Smesite locality and on the northern slopes of the mountain.
