Mogilitsa: Hotels and Accommodation

A 12.77-kilometre-long eco-trail in Mogilitsa leads via the Borikovska and Tipitseto caves to the hamlet of Sredok. Another 3-kilometre-long eco-trail runs via the Padala area, a mineral spring and Bukata before returning to Mogilitsa.

Culture

Agushevi Konatsi is located in Mogilitsa. It was built between 1820 and 1840. Agushevi Konatsi has 221 windows, 86 doors and 24 chimneys.

In the centre of Mogilitsa is a late-feudal complex described as the largest preserved late-feudal complex in the Balkans.

The Varad Fortress was used by Thracians, Byzantines and Bulgarians during different periods. In clear weather, it offers views of the Greek mountains of Bozdak and Kushnitsa.

Landscape

The Vurhat panoramic viewpoint near Mogilitsa is located at an altitude of 1,351 metres above sea level and offers views towards Mogilitsa. The hiking trail there begins at Shirok Most at the turn-off to Borikovo when visitors are leaving Mogilitsa. Jeeps can be rented in the centre of Mogilitsa for off-road access to the Vurhat panoramic viewpoint.
