Near Arda, a marked trail continues from the source of the Arda to Ardin Peak, a 1,730-metre-high summit on the Bulgarian-Greek border. The footpath to the source is about three kilometres long and passes through meadows, deciduous and coniferous forests, ravines, and slopes. Vehicles with high ground clearance can reach the beginning of this footpath.

BTS Route 303 uses Arda as a base after a visit to Uhlovitsa Cave and returns there after a full-day hike from Mogilitsa. The route also includes a meadow hike through Gudevitsa and Gozdevitsa with an outdoor meal and a return to Arda, as well as a trail along the Arda with a visit to Tipets Cave before returning to Arda.

The botanical garden in Arda is described as having been established to preserve local biodiversity.
