Nature

Mala Tsarkva is located in the northern foothills of the Rila Mountains on the Levi Iskar River. A picturesque path leads to the locality of Pesako. There, the river disappears underground and re-emerges several hundred metres later.

The named peaks of Krasta, Golyamata livada, Arnautski vrah and Haydushkata mogila are located near Mala Tsarkva.

Culture

The preserved Church of Saints Peter and Paul, dating from the 16th century, is partly built into the ground and is designated as a cultural monument.
