Culture

Dvigrad is a medieval town in Limska Draga. Its remains include around 200 houses and the Basilica of St. Sophia. The remains form a well-preserved medieval fortified town with double walls, three gates, and three defensive towers. Dvigrad was abandoned in 1630 after plague and malaria; the population moved to Kanfanar.

The Church of St. Agatha is an early Romanesque building with wall paintings dating from the second half of the 11th century. Kašteljir is a prehistoric archaeological site below a former hillfort settlement.
